A Drive, Chip & Putt Skills Contest designed to give (30) total participants, men and women, ages 18 & up the opportunity for fun and rewarding challenges of competitive golf. Where else can you go after work for just a little over an hour and work on your golf skills while possibly earning prize money and many other gifts? No matter your level of experience, there is fun to be had by all involved! Each participant is encouraged to do their best and have a terrific time! Contestants participate in three areas: driving, chipping and putting. Gift Certificates will be awarded to the top-three overall finishers. The Golf Skills Challenge U.S.A. is for amateurs only, no players with PGA status are allowed.

 

The scoring system is the same at the local, regional and national competitions and is a cumulative points system. All contestants will earn points and the most overall points will be declared the winner. The second place winner will have the second most points. The third place winner will have the third most points. If a tie should occur, then a putting playoff will be in effect with only one qualified ball to narrow the field. Should a second tie breaker be needed then the contestants would then go to the chipping range with only one qualified ball. If needed, the process would continue until a winner is in place.

 

The first place winner will receive a $200 in gift certificate from the participating golf course. The second place winner will receive a $100 in gift certificate. The third place winner will receive a $50 in gift certificate. The entry fee is $30.00 with ONLY 30 participants per event. Events are to be held on a weekday evening around 5 o’clock at different courses along the gulf coast area. This is a skills challenge and anyone can compete in this event.
