A Drive, Chip & Putt Skills Contest designed to give (30) total participants, men and women, ages 18 & up the opportunity for fun and rewarding challenges of competitive golf. Where else can you go after work for just a little over an hour and work on your golf skills while possibly earning prize money and many other gifts? No matter your level of experience, there is fun to be had by all involved! Each participant is encouraged to do their best and have a terrific time! Contestants participate in three areas: driving, chipping and putting. Gift Certificates will be awarded to the top-three overall finishers. The Golf Skills Challenge U.S.A. is for amateurs only, no players with PGA status are allowed.

  • Each competitor will get two drives that count. (5) balls total (3) practice and (2) qualifying golf balls

  • The object of this skill is to drive the qualifying ball as far down range as possible within a boundary.



  • In order for the drive to be scored, it must come to rest within the 40 to 50 yard-wide fairway. The qualified drives earn points and will be added together for a total

  • .

  • Drives landing outside the clearly marked boundary or hitting any object outside the boundary, will not be counted.



  • Competitors must use own equipment and must be USGA approved

  • .

  • For female competitors, a special bracket will be in place. Also the driving skill event will be broke into 2 age groups for men.



  • Participates can earn between 0 and 5 points (see driving bracket for points) per qualified ball for a total maximum combined of 10 points

  • Age brackets will be in place for the driving portion only

  • .

  • Driving distance will be determined by a laser yardage device.

  • The object of this skill is to hit the qualifying ball as close to the pin or to the hole as possible.
     

  • Points are awarded for proximity to the hole and in the hole.
     

  • A square will be created five (5) feet from the hole on each side. Participants can only earn points if their qualifying balls are inside the square. Each qualifying ball inside the square will be measured. The point will be produced from the appropriate bracket.
     

  • Participants can earn between 0 and 5 points per qualified ball for a total maximum combined score of 10 points.
